Dr. Mike Cary
I love being a dentist, and I have been practicing since 1993. Why am I a dentist? To provide every patient with a lifetime of dental health and wellness.
When I am away from my practice, my life revolves around my family: my wife and three children. We enjoy camping, bicycling, sports, rebuilding old cars, and hanging out together. Family will always be important in my life.
I consider my patients to be family as well.
As an undergraduate, I played football as a defensive back and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Willamette University. In 1989, I received my bachelors of science in biology. In 1993, I graduated with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry. Thereafter, I spent my first six years practicing dentistry in Albany and Lake Oswego, before coming to Canby in 1999.
Education is vital to me, as a dentist. Dental technology is constantly evolving, and I want to keep up with any changes that can benefit my patients. To that end, I am a member of C.O.R.E. (Comprehensive Orognathic Restorative Excellent) study group, which includes ten outstanding dentists. Together, we share our skills, knowledge, and time with each other, in order to help each member provide the best possible care for our patients.

I am a recognized Master of the Academy of General Density and a fellow of the America College of Dentists. I volunteer at the Mission of Mercy and Creston Dental Clinic.
I lived in Zurich, Switzerland for 2 years, practicing dental hygiene there. In my free time, I am on the river rowing with Station L rowing club. I also enjoy wine tasting, hiking and traveling. I have one daughter, who is finishing up her last year at the University of Oregon.
I am pleased to be a part of Dr. Cary’s team and I am looking forward to providing our patients with the highest quality of personalized care!
