Restore Your Teeth and Health

The Right Way to Replace Teeth and Achieve Optimal Oral Health

Replacing missing teeth is more than just a cosmetic fix. In fact, when you have a broken, missing, or severely decayed tooth, it can cause serious health issues. If you are missing one tooth or several, we have options for you.

Replacement treatments, such as dental implants, help restore not just the look of your mouth, but the function of it, too. The root of a tooth is integral to the structure of your jawbone. Missing teeth can actually cause damage to the inner workings of your jawbone, leading to bone loss, airway issues, and additional stress to the teeth you do have.

By replacing a tooth with an implant, you are actually restoring the way your jawbone’s structure works. This helps keep your jaw, gums, and rest of your teeth healthy and is the only permanent way to restore the health of your teeth or smile.

The Tooth Replacement Process

Diagnosis

Our goal is to replace teeth only when it is absolutely necessary. When you come in for your appointment, we will:

  • Review your oral health history
  • Take a series of high-tech x-rays
  • Conduct a comprehensive exam
  • Answer all of your questions

After an in-depth evaluation of your smile, mouth, bite, and jawbone, if replacing a tooth is right for you, we will discuss your options. Together, we will decide on a treatment plan and provide you with the associated times and costs involved.

Dental Implants

If a dental implant is the right choice for you, it will be a 2-3 step process over the course of 8-12 months.

A custom, biocompatible implant is placed in your jawbone and allowed time to heal. The implant will act as an artificial tooth root and is the foundation for the replacement of your tooth or teeth.

Crowns, Bridges or Dentures

The final step to replacing your missing tooth or teeth is with a modern, custom-fit prosthesis.

Generally, this is a single custom implant crown for one tooth, or could be a bridge or denture for multiple missing teeth. For some patients, a bridge or denture may actually be supported by implants if it is indicated and treatment is complex.

With multiple options, Cary Dental will find the treatment that works best for you.

Smiles & Stories

Smile Makeover

This patient had worn and crooked teeth. Crowns were needed to prevent fractures. Unfortunately, a  misaligned bite would cause the crowns to wear, too. A full mouth rehabilitation, including braces and crowns, was the answer.

Dental Implants & Smile Makeover

This patient’s front teeth were discolored and worn. One tooth was cracked and had to be removed. We used a dental implant and four new crowns to restore her smile.

Orthodontics (Teenager)

This patient came to our office with crowded teeth, a narrow arch, and poor bite. We used Crozat orthodontics and braces to help her jaw grow, creating room for adult teeth and fixing her poor bite.

Dental Implants

This patient was missing her two front teeth. A failing bridge was damaging the supporting teeth. Using two dental implants and four crowns, we restored her smile.

Orthodontics

This patient had extremely crowded teeth, impacted canine, and an overbite. We used Crozat orthodontics and braces to correct her bite and bring the impacted tooth into the correct position.

Dental Implants

This patient had several failing crowns and missing teeth.  Using a combination of dental implants and crowns, we restored his smile and gave him a more youthful appearance.

Braces & Implant

This patient wanted to improve her smile. Her poor bite was causing her teeth to become loose and worn. She also suffered from gum recession. We used invisible braces, a dental implant, and veneers to enhance her smile.

Crowns & Orthodontic

This patient had old crowns, tooth decay, and a poor bite. We corrected her bite with the help of custom orthodontics, which helped her new crowns look better and last longer, too.
